About Me: Started playing at 16 with a battered strat copy, taught myself from watching other guitarists and wearing out tapes and vinyl trying to learn songs/solos by ear. (could have saved myself loads of time by getting tab and lessons off the internet, kids these days have it easy! lol.) I played guitar and bass in several bands that did a few gigs here and there but didn't really go anywhere. Went and had some classical guitar lessons later and did Grade's 5, 6 and 8 on classical guitar. Much of this I've forgotten but it opened my mind musically. Pretty much packed in guitar and sold most of my equipment due to several factor's (getting fed up with working in bands with idiots who thought they were massively talented and going to get a record deal, crummy rehearsal rooms, dodgy music business types, going to university, alcoholism.) I quit drinking just over two years ago and met daryl who suggested I come and join him and the lads with a jam session around august this year. I realised that giving up music had left a big gap in my life and picked up the guitar again. Here I'am playing music with a great bunch of guys and having fun doing it.
